CEPA – CSIO’s regional office in Quebec

Role and mandate
CEPA’s mandate is identical to CSIO’s. Its mission is to take on a leadership role in achieving a competitive advantage for the independent broker distribution channel and achieving excellence in the delivery of value-added electronic business solutions.

Furthermore, our regional office in Quebec takes the necessary steps to ensure that its members are kept informed of CSIO’s national programmes and that members are given the opportunity to actively participate in their development.

This regional office allows for a continuous exchange of information between Quebec and the other Canadian provinces on topics related to CSIO’s mandate. It allows Quebec to keep the Toronto office informed on province-specific trends and to communicate unique business requirements for all Quebec trading partners.

Members of the Bureau de direction
The Bureau de direction is made up of eleven members, comprised of five provincial/national Insurers, and six Brokers. Members are nominated by the President of the Bureau de direction with the exception of representatives of the "Regroupement des cabinets de courtage d'assurance du Québec" (RCCAQ) and the "Association des courtiers d'assurances de la province de Québec", who are assigned by their associations respectively.

Members meet four times a year to review priorities and programmes assigned to the regional office in Quebec.

Conseil d'interface du Québec

Role and mandate
The Conseil d'interface du Québec (CIQ) is a committee made up of Insurers and Brokers who play an important role in the evolution of EDI and E-commerce in Quebec. Its main responsibilities are to participate in the development of EDI standards within the industry and identify challenges and solutions associated with EDI implementation. Broker system vendors meet with this committee on a regular basis to develop strategic plans designed to further EDI and E-commerce in Quebec.
