CSIO's central mandate is to seek ways to provide a competitive advantage for the Independent Broker Distribution Channel. The activities resulting from this mandate are diverse and are expanding as technological opportunities broaden.

National and Global Initiatives

CSIO represents the property and casualty industry initiatives as a:

• Participant at ACORD Standards Plenary and Working Groups
• Representative at IBCs Underwriting Committee
• Leader in P&C industry application form design and development
• Recognized Canadian representative to the UN/CEFACT
• Insurance Global Standards Working Group, part of CEFACT role in defining standards internationally along with re-useable core components
