Forms Analyst

CSIO is a standards organization serving the Property and Casualty insurance industry since 1981. We are centrally located in downtown
Toronto directly under the Scotia Center close to all public transportation.

CSIO's central mandate is to seek ways to provide a competitive advantage for the Independent Broker Distribution Channel. The activities resulting from this mandate are diverse and are expanding as technological opportunities broaden.
Job Role Summary:
Working with member workgroups, the Forms Analyst will update existing and assist in the development of new CSIO standard forms. The analyst will also update and develop Property & Casualty insurance forms in
order to comply with new insurance legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, design, recommend, and implement changes to CSIO forms.
- Plan, organize and lead forms workgroup meetings.
- Collaborate with form users to gather requirements and recommendations for improvements.
- Research and analyze change requests in order to present alternate solutions for consideration by forms workgroup.
- Compile and publish instructions for mapping form fields to the CSIO EDI/AL3 Standards.
- Perform quality assurance testing for new versions and releases of the forms.
Skills and abilities:
- Knowledge of insurance forms: usage, workflows and interoperability with broker, vendor and/or insurance company systems.
- Knowledge of CSIO EDI/AL3 standards a definite asset.
- Strong information gathering and analytical skills including the ability to identify the underlying principles, structure and use of information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good facilitation skills to lead workgroups in the planning, development and design of new and revised forms.
- Creativity and diplomacy.
- Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with workgroup participants.
- Organizing, planning, and prioritizing tasks to accomplish work objectives within timelines.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Access.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years work experience in Property& Casualty Insurance. Underwriting, business analysis and commercial lines experience a definite asset.
- Post-Secondary education; ideally in insurance studies.
